Virtual or real staging?

Once again, we take a look at the current state of PropTech developments. Will our customers still need real furniture, lamps and accessories in properties in the future, or will there soon only be virtual worlds?

Virtual or real staging?

We asked some of our customers about this and also want to know what experiences they have had so far with so-called "virtual stagings".

Before the first ground is broken - that is, when a visualisation is created from the plan, it is of course sensible and helpful to show the customer what the apartment will look like later - even with the later view of the water, over the roofs or into the greenery.

"Virtual staging" - that is, the virtual furnishing of already built properties - then exists in a wide variety of qualities - if it is done to a high quality, the costs are comparable to a real staging. However, at the first real viewing, the customer is standing in the empty property again, where they cannot sit down cosily on the sofa or at the dining table and enjoy a coffee.

Here is the favourite quote from one of our customers: "Look, it's like with a concert. The live broadcast on TV does the job too - but anyone who was there live knows the difference."

Here you can find the video of a really staged property from our client IG-Immobilien. For data protection reasons, the video is only loaded from Youtube after clicking on the preview image.
