Keep was founded in 2018 by Horst Eckstein and Thomas Hauer in Gmunden. The two have set themselves the goal of creating lasting things - thoughtfully designed, functional and aesthetic kitchens that bring joy for a long time. Their kitchens stand out from the crowd not only through timeless design; the Upper Austrian startup also successfully breaks new ground in the use of sustainable materials and a modern sales concept.
The sophisticated modular basic structure offers countless configuration possibilities. If desired, Keep kitchens can be adapted particularly easily or, if necessary, adjusted to changed living situations. An extension or reduction, the fitting of a new worktop, different fronts or the installation of other appliances at a later date are easily possible. With a view to assembly and maintenance, Keep kitchens are designed in a minimalist way: this helps with building, extending, dismantling and moving.
The frames and handles of Keep kitchens are made of steel and are therefore particularly durable. The basic structure comes with a 30-year guarantee as proof of this. The fronts and carcasses are made of high-quality plywood. Visible with an oiled surface or covered with linoleum in beautiful colours. Perfectly combinable. Linoleum is produced from renewable raw materials: linseed oil, resins, wood and limestone flour as well as natural colour pigments. The material does not harm the environment either in production or in disposal, because at the end of a long service life it is biodegradable. The complete absence of MDF or chipboard in frames, fronts and carcasses makes Keep kitchens as robust as commercial kitchens.
The worktops are also made of plywood and are 20 mm thick. The edges come ground and polished. The surface is coated with Fenix - a water-repellent, hygienic and heat-resistant nanotech material. In addition, it has a pleasantly soft feel with integrated protection against fingerprints. On request, worktops made of natural stone or Dekton are installed.
For the all-round successful cooking experience, Keep offers durable kitchen appliances from the brands Miele, BORA and SMEG as well as energy-saving Quooker taps. Alternatively, standard electrical appliances from other manufacturers can, of course, also be accommodated in every Keep kitchen.
By foregoing intermediaries, Keep kitchens are affordable for many despite their high quality. After an initial consultation with interested parties and the exchange of relevant information, Keep provides a free 3D planning proposal, which can then be further worked on together via the configurator on the website. Naturally, always including a personal offer for the convenient purchase of the kitchen, for example from the sofa at home.
